INSTRUCTIONS:
For making Shahi Tukda
- Put a pan on the gas and put milk and some saffron threads in it. Add sugar as per taste and stir well and cook till it becomes thick.
- When it starts to look almost like rabri, then turn off the gas and keep it to cool down.
- Now we will make syrup. For that, put two cups of sugar and two cups of water in a pan on the gas and stir it well.
- We have to cook the sugar syrup till the sugar syrup becomes sticky like honey.
- Add a pinch of food color to it. Food color is optional. Keep stirring it continuously. Now add a spoonful of lemon juice and cardamom powder and stir it well. Our sugar syrup is ready. Turn off the gas.
- Now we will take bread slices, and cut them as triangles.
- Now put some ghee in a pan on the gas. When the ghee melts, shallow fry all the bread slices in it. If you so desire, you can also deep fry them.
- Make the bread golden brown from both the sides and take them out and keep them in a tray.
- Pour the prepared rabri on these bread slices and garnish with almond pistachio shreddings.
- Our Shahi Tukda sweet is ready to eat. You can eat it cold or hot. It is indeed very tasty.
