INGREDIENTS
For Kharvas (Junnu)
- Milk, 2 liters
- Sugar, 250 grams (or according to taste)
- Water, 3 glasses
INSTRUCTIONS:
For making Kharvas (Junnu)
- Take the first extracted milk from cow or buffalo in a big pot. We will filter the milk, add sugar to the milk and mix it well. Make sure to mix the sugar in the cold milk.
- Now take a pan and put dry fodder in it and set it well. Then add water to it.
- Now place a plate over the pan and put that milk in the plate and keep the pan on the stove slowly, then pour more milk in the plate and fill it completely.
- Now we will cover this milk plate from above and keep some weight on it so that its steam does not come out and our Kharvas gets cooked well in steam.
- After some time we will remove the lid and check with the help of a knife whether our kharvas is cooked or not. If the knife comes out clean, then it means that our sweet has cooked well.
- Now turn off the stove and cut the kharvas into the desired shape with the help of a knife.
- Our scrumptious, delicious traditional sweet is ready, take it on a serving plate. You can also serve it garnished with dry fruits.
- Kharvas (or Junnu) sweet dish looks tasty and spongy. Enjoy it with your family.
